Earlier this year, Claudia appeared on the “Fans About Films” podcast run by Lasse Vogt to speak about the filmmaking process of When I See You but also about filmmaking in general. Lasse reached out to Claudia through Twitter and they have shared in each other’s short film success. Lasse has been running his podcast for months speaking to anyone he can find about films, soundtracks and the industry and he and Claudia share a 80minute episode sharing their thoughts and laughs about what it means to be an indie filmmaker. Listen below!
This past week was very exciting for the When I See You team. The lead actor Chayla Day and writer, co-director, and actor Claudia Carino attended the Toronto Independent Film Festival at Carlton Cinemas in Toronto for the screening of When I See You on September 12, 2018. They were surrounded by family and friends and shared the screen with three other lovely short films.
They were thrilled to see the film on the big screen as this was the first time either of them had seen it on something other than a laptop. They were so excited to share it with loved ones, and they said everyone loved it!
Here are some pictures from the evening!

With post production done, When I See You is finally on the film festival circuit. We have submitted the film to dozens of film festivals around the globe, and will be continuing to submit throughout the year. So keep checking back here for updates on when and where our film will be screened. We are so proud of this film and hope you get the chance to see it on the big screen!
Today is a HUGE day! After months of post production on this film, I can finally say that our project is DONE! Our sound mixer, Mitchell Peyton, has been a superstar in working with us to get our sound levels just right. And our lead editor, James Ramsay, has worked around the clock to get our colour correction looking sharp. I can't thank them enough for their hard work! These two have so generously volunteered their time to this project, and as Executive Producer, I am so GRATEFUL for their dedication and hard work.
So what does this mean??? Well, as of today, I will be uploading the final film to our online festival submission pages and will be submitting it to festivals all around the world. We are hoping to have it screened later on this year! How exciting is that?!?! As a first time producer, I am learning as I go, but I am so excited to be at this stage in the project. Everyone has worked so hard up until now and I am so happy to be able to share this final product with our peers.
So, stay tuned as we get this baby rolling!
